Warnings of Powerful New Adware In The Wild

Microsoft has issued a warning about Adrozek, a new strain of browser modifier that, according to the company, “adds browser extensions, modifies a specific DLL per target browser, and changes browser settings to insert additional, unauthorized ads into web pages.”

Microsoft Defender Antivirus, the built-in endpoint protection solution on Windows 10, uses behavior-based, machine learning-powered detections to block Adrozek. End users who find this threat on their devices are advised to re-install their browsers.
